1. What HomeMade is

HomeMade is an online marketplace in the Sultanate of Oman that connects customers with independent home cooks.

HomeMade does not cook, prepare or deliver food. Each cook is an independent business and is responsible for the food they sell, its preparation, safety and delivery. When you order, your purchase of food is from the cook.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, place false orders, repeatedly fail to collect orders, or act abusively.

3. Cooks

Cooks must hold a valid Omani home-business licence and follow all food-safety and municipality rules that apply to them. HomeMade reviews each cook's licence before their dishes are shown, but does not inspect kitchens or food.

Cooks set their own prices and decide whether to accept each order. A cook who cannot fulfil an order must reject it promptly and give a reason.

For each delivered order the cook earns 85% of the dish price. HomeMade keeps 15% of the dish price plus the customer service fee. For cash orders the cook collects the full amount and must pay HomeMade its share; cash orders may be paused for a cook whose unpaid share exceeds the limit we set. Amounts owed to cooks are paid by bank transfer.

4. Orders and payment

Prices are in Omani rials and include a 5% service fee shown before you order. Each order is from one cook.

Some dishes are cooked in batches: a set number of portions for a stated serving time, orderable until a deadline. Batch orders are confirmed when you place them.

Payment is currently cash on delivery: you pay the cook when the food is handed to you. Please be available at the address and phone number you give.

Some cooks offer pickup. For pickup orders you collect the food from the cook's kitchen at the time shown and pay in cash on collection. The kitchen's exact location is shown to you only while your pickup order is active.

5. Allergies and dietary needs

Ingredients and allergen information are provided by each cook. HomeMade does not verify them. If you have a serious allergy, do not order a dish unless you are sure it is safe for you.

6. Liability

To the extent Omani law allows, HomeMade is not liable for the quality, safety, preparation or delivery of food, which are the cook's responsibility. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Omani law.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will show the date of the latest version. Continuing to use HomeMade after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and the courts of Oman have jurisdiction.
